Rockets want fans to wear all black for Friday's game against Spurs

My brother and I were thinking about getting black jerseys from the team shop.

Then we saw the price tag.

 

Maybe Tilman wants everyone to wear black because, out of respect to the Blazers, we are going to lay Noah Vonleh's body to rest, with Harden giving the eulogy.

If everyone wears black, the crowd outside will be amazing.

 

No, the lower bowl will be a mix of plaid, pinstripes, and other business attire.

 

If you do, be sure to get the ones with the Landrys patch on it. That way you know Tilman took full advantage of you. LOL.

 

Could someone misunderstand it as supporting spurs since black is their traditional color?

I thought silver and black were the spurs colors. I bet some "Marketing Manager" or intern came up with this.

 

Hahaha. I actually heard them say on 790 (can't remember whose show it was) that there is going to be a black t shirt on every seat in the house. They could be wrong...

 

Or more likely, since we are repping the black jerseys at our home games now, we are trying to establish this as our color too.

 

I believe the intention is to negate the fact that spurs fans might/do wear black to the game. If we are wearing black it kinda takes that away from them.

Also, the rockets will be wearing black that night, so...solidarity? Makes sense.
