Well, seems that all 30 NBA teams have an opposite opinion of him or someone would’ve snatched him up by now. I wish him well overseas...

Feliz Navidad to you as well...

    Go Rockets!!!

    Not true.

    1. Roster spots are very tight.

    2. There's several teams wanting to exit the luxury tax that aren't going to waive guaranteed salary to claim Qi.

    3. There's only one team with cap space for a salary dump. (Sac)

    4. There's only a few available substantial trade exceptions. And Denver owns most of those. And they're not willing to pay the luxury tax.

    5. There's still 75% of the teams in the playoff hunt, many of whom are looking for trade upgrades since cap space and rusher spots are so thin.

    6. And there's a lot of uncertainty surrounding some of the league megastars and their looming free agency.

All these factors hindered teams ability to claim Qi. You've reached an erroneous conclusion.

There are several teams that in different circumstances would have claimed Qi.

"If you ignore the fact that all 30 teams chose not to claim Zhou Qi, there are dozens of scenarios where any of the 30 teams in the NBA would have claimed Zhou Qi"

You are a treasure, Holic. I cherish you.

Checks ESPN... no replacement players needed for a non-existent NBA lockout/strike... different circumstances do not exist.

You have chosen to ignore all context and circumstances except those that fit a certain narrow narrative. I'd cherish your thoughts and opinions more if you didn't do that and were more open-minded.

    Ha! Happy New Year!

Did anybody else last out the facts I just laid out explaining how restricted player movement is right now? Lol. That's not narrow minded. Lol. That's more open-minded than you can imagine.

I wish Zhou the best, but I doubt we'll ever see him in the NBA ever again.

I think he definitely has the tools and the potential, just needs to put it all together. I think he might be one of those guys who comes to the NBA in his prime... when he's 28-29 years old. Like Boban.

So because he couldn't secure himself a guaranteed contract, the answer is to blame other teams for not handing him over a guaranteed contract...?

I guess he has to be better than half the backup centers in the Chinese Association, so you're not wrong about that.

Looks like there are 30 NBA teams worth of GMs, coaches and scouts that don't see "Defensive Player of the Year" potential in Zhou Qi.

_holic will still stan for him, however!

I like that he’s a professional and got himself another role

He’s not crying and whining with translators and putting out videos about it

He just accepted his fate and moved on
