Despite his limited minutes, those limited minutes were during the final crucial minutes of each game.

based upon that and Zhou being waived, it confirms the idea that we tried to trade Zhou, but had no takers.

It sucks. I would have liked to have gotten at least a 2nd rounder for Zhou.

As a fully non guaranteed contract it shows you just how low his value is nba wide.

There is so much cringe worthy fail in this post I don't even know where to begin.

I truly feel sorry for you.

No it doesn't. If we had wanted to trade him we'd have traded him for kenrich Williams (and possibly others) and a traded player exception even if no pick were involved. A little tpe is better then nothing, isn't it? But we didn't even do that. We dropped him. We didn't try to trade zhou.

The only thing that surprises me about the Zhou waiving is since he is NG, the Rockets could have used his salary in aggregation for a trade. But with the waiving, it appears that aggregation avenue with Zhou isn't worth while for them.

No they couldn't. Because he's non-guaranteed. N/G's don't count for any salary in trades now. That was a rule tweak for this year.

Well, they of course could aggregate it...but then it would be guaranteed. So in that sense, the NG value add is gone. But they could have still attached him to someone.

We catered and groomed him all these years to just throw him like a crumbled paper ball while fading away and saying Kobeeee!!.

Zhou’s contract was probably the most Team-friendly contract ever signed in NBA history, and all 29 teams passed on grabbing it off waivers.

I mean, if you ever want to take a flyer on another Whitehead, *that* is the contract designed for it.

Good post. Isn't Austin Rivers about to join Memphis?

Yes, the Suns waived him. Back to the Clippers, maybe? West wouldn't want him, now that Doc is no longer the GM, I guess.

Did no one tell any of them that he's a better defender than Capela?

Like them, my newsletter was late ... have the Rockets announced the deal that was already agreed to for which we needed the roster spot immediately? And have they already signed Qi back on a two-way?

If not, what is the latest insider fan fiction?

Well, it's been almost a week now. Kind of odd that exactly ZERO teams have stepped forward to sign the future DPOY.

    Like non.
