If Philly claims him then we get a little bit more wiggle room and a little bit closer to the tax line. Doubt we fill that spot.

Isn't this incentive for Lawson to stay with the Rockets? He would have a bigger role moving forward to prove to Summer suitors that he has value...and he will be able to likely make the playoffs, too. Yet another reason why I don't see Lawson taking a pay cut in a buyout. We will have to give him the remainder of his full salary this year, but prorated over two years.
