Sounds like a recipe for failure . You better hope they instill a more teamball style because I am old enough to watch those old suns team and regardless of stats you looking up, the eye test showed nash ran the offense and the team relied on off ball movement more than ISO ball. This is 2016. unless its lebron lowering his shoulder gong towards rim, flailing your arms looking for a foul shouldnt be considered a good isolation player.
les was mad at the brick bros for not bricking enough shots in the playoffs. each brick is donated to charity for brick houses.
Ok, what does that have to do with my post?. Do you also realize that last year's Rockets ISO'd 9.4% of the time? They relied on lots of things more than they did ISO. Did anyone say that we were going to ISO more than we did anything else? Did anyone say that the D'Antoni Suns ISO'd more than they did any other things? The fact that the Suns ran other things more than ISO doesn't change the fact that they still ISO'd more than the Rockets do. The post that I replied to said that Harden wouldn't be ISOing as much, implying that D'Antoni's system didn't ISO. That's simply not true, the D'Antoni Suns ISO'd at a higher rate than last year's Rockets. Those are facts unless you believe that NBA stats are incorrect. Nobody, including the Rockets, ISO that much. The Clippers led the league at 9.5% of the time. I understand that there's the perception that we ISO most of the time but that's simply not true. Harden is great at ISO so we will continue to ISO but it will always be a small part of what we run (just as it has in the past). As far as Lebron's ISO vs Harden ISO, Harden scored 0.93 points per possession in ISO and Lebron scored 0.85 points per possession in ISO. If your perception is that Lebron is a better ISO player than Harden then that's another case of perception not being reality.
As I said earlier, stats.nba.com had the definitions of each play type but I don't see it there any more. It's probably just in a different location on the site and I'm just missing it. My recollection is that it had to be a face up, above the FT line and the defense had to be set and no pick. That's from memory so don't take it as fact.
Just want to lay this in here since too many flip out w/ the pop shots on Harden every time he's in a club in the offseason. <iframe src="https://vine.co/v/5upO3pwU9EW/embed/simple" width="480" height="480" frameborder="0"></iframe><script src="https://platform.vine.co/static/scripts/embed.js"></script>

Hilarious! Thanks for posting it. I'm someone else who gets very tired of the endless criticism of James in the GARM.

Not fair. Unless Ryan Anderson has more than two arms, there's an unmentioned white boy shooting in the background. Dmo, maybe?
