I don't really get it unless we use Capela to try and get Bledsoe or another starting PG or SF.

 

It's a great move for the cap space it creates. Not sure if you could go three max but could get close.

 

Capela has more upside? Unless Capela develops insticts in defence and learns how to play the C position, and also gains 20 pounds NOPE.

Noel has amazing defensive insticts for a C and always go to the right position.

So yes. If Capela gets a brain transplant and 20 pounds of more muscle he has more upside.

 

Call me crazy, but i think Capela's numbers would look better if he got as many minutes. Just needs to take care of his foul rate which of course is a problem when it comes to playing 30mpg.

Dude has been coming back from a major injury, IS ONLY 22, just getting acclimated ...He will fill out/find his game.

Noel would have gone 1 if not for the knee injury.....

And from what I've seen, we would be getting at least 90% ..I'd bet on him.

Well, the pounds argument in irrelevant since Noel is not bigger anyway...but yeah, personally i can see Capela getting better offensively (that's what i was talking about) in the future, Noel not at all.

Why on earth would the Rockets trade Ariza for the #23 pick? That makes no sense.

 

I don't like the deal, because I value both the contracts involved, but if you include Brewer somehow - sign me up.

Excellent comparison. What really stuck out at me was the per 36 minute stats, per 100 game and advanced stats. Capela is better across the board with the exception of DWS and FTs. And much cheaper.

Still we need a 2nd big that can run PnR, is efficient around the basket, defend and rebound. We proved that last year with Dwight.

 

I don't hate the trade, but I haven't watched Noel play a ton either. I've only seen his highlights and it's pretty clear he can't do anything outside of 3 feet away from the basket. He's at least a serviceable free throw shooter at 60%

 

It is funny that the three mentioned are our defensive specialists. haha
