I'd absolutely love having the luxury to share the center load between capela and noel. Both are young, athletic and good rim protecters with potential to be really good. Both being young and foul prone is obvious but splitting minutes negates that risk quite a bit.

Both could be well in the pick and roll as fineshers especially if we can get a legit stretch four.

Gets us some youth and upside again. Aka assets lol

... and, just like that, BOS is rumored to be willing to trade the third pick for Noel.

If we do this deal, just know Noel / Capela combo won't be together in 2 years. No way they will pay that money for players who basically do the same ****.

If he performs up to that level than that will be a blessing.

If not we let him go and pursue the 2017 FA class.

I don't know if he's worth it or not because it's hard to answer such a question without actually seeing what kind of deals the other Cs get next summer.

But I will you that he can't play pf and he is a small ball C who gets bullied by bigger Cs. And he hasn't managed to put on weight and doesn't look like he ever will.
His defence though is night and day ahead of Capela.

If he can put up dwights defensive numbers, healthy, younger, and more cooperative on offense, is that worth it?

All this hype for a trade that probably won't happen. Rockets need to make this deal happen, that's if the 76er's want to make the deal.

Eh, i agree...the good think here is that you basically switch two good/ok role players for a great and young role player, think about play Noel with Harden one year, his value is going through the roof and by next summer you have a great asset to trade in him, or Capela if Noel is that good that you don't want to trade him.

He doesn't have to perform to an actual max level C to get 18+.
If he played like last year he would by some team 100%.
I don't know if he will get the full max of 25 with his last year perfomance but don't underestimate the desperation of teams.

Based on current projections, max in 2017-2018 will be 108m cap or 27m/year for a player like Noel. Noel is not a 27m/year player.

    Was DMO's injury predictable?
We still haven't even seen how much DMO will get this year btw.

Noel is better in actual PNR and positional defence than Whiteside but not as good in shotblocking. Also Whiteside doesn't get bullied by heavier and bigger Cs.

Not at all. He has been working on his jumper for 3 years to no avail.

You guys are overrating Noel big time. He isn't anything special. In fact I can almost say Capela has better upside than him.

Great trade for all involved. Philly gets some veteran leadership in Bev and Ariza and we get a young stud.
