My question is, like a lot of people, is what happens if the Rockets 2011 pick ends up being higher and/or the 2012 NY pick falls in the top 5. What happens in either or both of these scenarios?

    Either way, epic trade.

    Genius, Morey. I am speechless.

first we stolen everything knicks got in the next couple of seasons, which guarantee to be a high pick. Then, we went and stolen KM from kings.

losing Landry was bad, but you got to give in order to get.

if the rockets have the higher of the two picks they keep their pick and new york keeps there...the 2011 swap ensures that the rockets will have the highest draft position possible.

if NY 2012 picks falls in the top 5 NY keeps the pick and their 2013 pick becomes the rockets with less protections (maybe top 3 or just top 1) and the protection keeps going down until its unprotected.

the NY pick this year started off with a lot of protection but back in 2004 when it was originally dealt as part of the marbury trade but kept losing protection till today when its unprotected.
