That's ridiculous. He is a poor 3 point shooter. You guys are just doing that thing again where you set the bar at the peak of a player's performance. On average, he is not a good 3pt shooter right now. He makes it at a below average rate, he is inconsistent and his form is atrocious. He lands differently every time he takes it, which looks cool, but is stupid.
Basically Brewer with a 10 year head start. If Brewer could hit 38% of his 3's, he would be an incredibly valuable NBA player and Williams has the chance to achieve that if he's a hard worker off the court.
I think people really underestimate how much Troy Williams has improved his shot. Yes, he's streaky but his form is very consistent. I'd really like to see this lineup on the court together against OKC. Harden Lou Williams/Beverley Troy Williams Anderson or Ariza Capela or Nene I'd put Harden in a PNR with Anderson on the left wing, put Troy on the right wing. Lou Williams/Beverley in either corner (maybe left?), with our 5 slipping in the paint. When Harden makes his move, Troy will be shooter left open. He'll show everyone how consistent he can be. That's his shot.
To be fair the Raptors 905 D-League squad had just as many Raptors. Moreover, their D-League guys have far more experience especially MVP Pascal Siakum who played in 55 NBA games starting 38 games for Toronto. Isaiah Taylor getting injured cost them the title.
