What a steal. Ariza was fantastic last year. When he's not the first option(rockets a few years back) can be a great player. Lockdown D great percentage from 3. At 8mil in this current sf market, great deal.

At least we don't massively overpay him. Now please don't think Parsons is expendable because of Ariza. And try to get one more piece before matching Parsons.

Basically we swapped Lin for Ariza salary wise. That's a good move. Now get a similar player for Asiks 8 million, resign Parsons and we are set.

Oh and this move means, we won't have max money next off season no matter what. So no use in declining Parsons.

    Now let's see:

    Beverly / Canaan or Johnson
    Harden / Ariza
    Parsons / Ariza
    TJones / DMo
    Howard / DMo

Right now it seems like we still need a starting 4 and a backup C. And of course we could use a star PG.

Edit: Ariza is 28, so still young. But he has been in the league for 10 years.

Ariza's deal fully guaranteed,& it appears the Rockets may - MAY - still match on Chandler Parsons & play him as a stretch four at times.

Best value signing in this free agency. Morey did overpay a penny.

I think Parsons is gone, we will get Ilyasova/Anderson and maybe a backup pg and be done.

I would definitely match Parsons. Maybe use one in a trade at the deadline.
