Yes. He was instant offense for Boston.

the more i look at this kid's numbers and think about this deal ...it's not terrible ...but it doesn't make much sense either. I'm a little uneasy even guaranteeing him a roster spot. This is pretty much a nothingburger of a deal.

MCW is no risk, situational reward move.
He helps address our perimeter defense to defend guys like DRose, Mitchell where we had trouble keeping them out of the paint.
He is not a scorer by any means and would bot be asked to do that in our team.
3rd/4th ball handler type in a pinch who can setup the offense in brief spells.

    I've been wrong before.

-[Granted I was like 12, but...] I thought the Pippen singing was awesome
-Thought we should have drafted Caron Butler over Yao
-Thought the Eddie Griffin trade was genius
-Thought Mike James: Part II was going to be a homerun
-Thought the Ty Lawson trade was a game-changer
    -Was against hiring MDA

There are probably more examples that I'm forgetting, but point being: I've been wrong before and I'll GLADLY be wrong about opposing this signing if it does, indeed, end of working out. I don't get it, but I'm also in "fine, whatever, let's see what he can do" mode.

Trust in Morey. MCW learning from CP3 is a blessing.

Just don't be upset when he leaves us next year to sign for 15 million.

It’s for the league minimum, why are people over reacting like this?

League minimum, there is zero downside here folks, relax

We don't need a guard as much as we need a forward who can shoot and defend. Luc is wishy washy and RYNO is just a wash period. We have no depth period at that position. All we have is Tucker really unless our rookies became sensations over the off season.

Well, the downside is you wasting your time on him instead you could meet and sign other players like Jeff Green or even Nerlens Noel. They are also league minimum, but I think they will be more useful than MCW.

So Ariza was the forward who could shoot and defend?

Ariza would lose his man multiple times - wasn’t just this past season but the previous season as well. His advance stats are down (way down) across the board. He isn’t going to PHX to shoot - rather he’ll be there mentoring their young wings.

Aside from CP3 and Harden, who are the other playmakers that we have?

Then why pass the chance of getting an additional playmaker for the minimum while looking for an additional defensive wing?
