One of the most mature and polished players in this year's group of automatically eligible international prospects, Papanikolaou is by no means a glamorous player. He may not be an aggressive enough scorer for certain NBA coaches, but his size, defensive prowess, ability to accept and fill an important role, knack for playing low-mistake basketball, and reputation as a winner at every level he's played at make him one of the most intriguing role-playing prospects available in the second round. Looking at the videos he is an aggressive defender with a high 'motor' who is rather slow on his feet. Has a good set 3pt shot. He is the greek michael jordan... wait we have a greek michael jordan already.
Awesome news but how does this even work? @BimaThug: Word is second year of Papanikolaou contract is BOTH a team option AND non-guaranteed. Gives #Rockets great flexibility next summer...
Zhandler is not like Casspi and Boki, IMO...he looks tougher, definitely not as nice and soft, as Casspi. A better mentality than Boki. More heart than both.
......................and he can be traded after September 8th.............. .....................while Gee and Hopson can be traded after September 15th.............. .....................and Phoenix signed Ennis and Warren today........................
Looks like he'll be playing for the Greek national team http://www.fiba.com/basketballworldcup/2014/Greece#tab=roster

I like the acquisition but don't understand why we gave him the contract we did. If we have to cut him to make a deal next summer, we waste his draft rights just for one year. I doubt we'll have to though...
