I have to say...the use of the full MLE...is really head scratching...there has to be another move in the works...or this really makes zero sense...

That's a lot of damn money for a second round pick, even if he has impressed since then. It feels a little like waving the white flag on the season to me, but that's not necessarily a bad thing if your core is not ready to contend this season. Still, I question, when are we all in? You have to pull the trigger at some point, or your stars will leave/decline/spectacularly flame out Yao-TMac style.
I wouldn't mind if they went after Nazr Mohammed (if his asking price is reasonable), we need somebody when Dwight is getting rest or is having foul trouble.
Just asked Mark Deeks. He will hit Restricted Free Agency in Year 2 if we decline the TO and offer him a QO. Much like the Daniels/Parsons situation
Would much prefer a non-guaranteed 2nd year, but they're similar. Pap is essentially a 3&D wing that can move to the 4 in small ball lineups. If we pick-up his team option, then we will have early-bird rights on him (up to 175% over 4 years).
Nobody can understand Morey. The Rockets will waste D12 two years again, D12 will go to Dalls in 2016
