McGrady and his agent requesting a trade would be pointless considering the Rockets have been trying to trade him for quite some time.
Agreed. I've read some posts where people believe if McGrady and his agent request a trade it suddenly puts the Rockets in a tough situation and/or makes McGrady's perceived value lower. I can't figure out how they get to that conclusion when it's been common knowledge that the Rockets have wanted to move him for nearly a year.
The Rox definitely have the upper hand, no matter how you shake it. The player's only hammer is usually "Well, I'll just sit out then"...the Rox have beaten the player to the punch and said "Go ahead and sit, we'll be better without you".
