    Last Season
    Warriors Revenues 305 million
    Rockets Revenues 244 million

Let's assume that Tillman's players payroll budget is 180 million, (140M salary + 40M Luxury Tax)
    Warriors actual payroll this year is 170M (136M + 34M) ,
Rockers players payroll budgeted 10 million more than Warriors.

Rockets Salary Projection (per my personal opinion)
Dumping Anderson Salary and 2 first round picks and don't take any money back.

Team salary at July1: 60 million
LeBron 36 million (he requests to attach Wade)
Wade: 8 million (2 years 17 million Contract)
Chris Paul: 30 Million (29 million pay cut Per 5-year contract)
Reserve for Vet Min 6 million

Total Salary 140 million + Luxury Tax 40 Million = 180 Million Salaries

There is no budget for Capela, LMM and Ariza . They have to walk for nothing.

Without Capela, LMM and Ariza, Rockets won't be able to defeat Warriors at full strength.

I like Wade but 8 million for him, is still a bit too much. He has to take a cut.

The truth is, we're never going to beat the Warriors in the playoffs unless future FAs we sign take huge paycuts. It's pretty bullshit that not only are the Warriors stacked with starpower, they all took paycuts as well.

I don't see Lebron or CP3 taking any paycuts to play with us so it's unlikely. Even the rumored DJ has a 21mil player option next year, I really doubt he refuses it just to play with us for half that price.

Nonetheless, next summer is going to be interesting. If we don't land Lebron and we end up re-signing Clint and CP3 to huge max contracts, we're really going to end up going nowhere.

Actually Chris Paul takes pay cut $10 million this year. His max is $35.4 million.

No way HOU lets LBJ come in here and start running the show. The reason why successful teams ARE successful is because those teams have a culture, they have a formula already. LBJ agreeing only if Wade signs is just stupid bc Wade doesn’t fit our philosophy at all. HOU is def not willing to part ways with Ariza or even LRMM for an old player like Wade who is useless on our team. Gerald Green is miles better than Wade in our system. If LBJ makes it that difficult than I’d let him kick rocks while we go for another superstar, just not worth breaking everything up bc he demands Wade.

Dramond Green, Klay Thompson, nor Steph Curry took a paycut. The only player on that roster who took a paycut was KD. Green and Thompson are still on max contracts under the old salary cap which is why it looks like they took pay cuts. Everything for GS has just fallen in line with time just like when they signed Green, Klay, and KD, Steph was still under his old contract making $11 mill bc he signed that deal when he was having a lot of ankle problems which allowed GS even sign KD outright.
HOU on the other hand have Ariza, Capela, and CP3’s bird rights. This will allow them to sign all of them to big/decent contracts.
The first player they would have to sign, if LBJ comes, would have to be LBJ and then they can sign CP and Capela while Ariza would have to be the last to sign. I have a feeling CP takes a paycut and HOU moves Anderson which is the only way HOU can afford 3 superstars.

Who is Marty in this case, the Warriors or the Rockets?

I want us to be Shawn Michaels. :/

So many fans just spread their cheeks and bend over for the Warriors. You aren't as good as them, why even try. Quick to point out how we aren't as good as them (no s**t), and naturally no good plan for beating them.

And there is a very good reason why they don't offer a solution up, because there is no good path to beating them, they've broken the league. 73 wins, a title, and the 2nd best player in the world as insurance. Anybody that criticizes the Rockets for "not being as good as the Warriors" is a f**king idiot. When you are a 60 win team, and you need to add the best player in the world to "have a chance" the league power structure is really messed up.

Come with something interesting, or compelling. One stupid ass thread is forgivable, we have a repeat offender at this point.

The Warriors worship on this board is nauseating.

We're an average piece away. An athletic 4 with range.

Tobias Harris would be a good fit, obviously not on the block. I could really see Morey going after a 4 with range.

Why does this guy still have thread starting ability ?!

Just a bunch of hogwash ....no facts , no research to back up the assertion.

That figure he mentions might be the starting point for the Rockets payroll in 2018/19. They can still pay Capela as they retain the right to match any offer , Ariza with Bird Rights and LMM via the Taxpayer MLE and not have to deal with the apron so long as they don't use the Biannual exception.

We can beat them now if Anderson does something....anything.
