I seriously don't see us losing more than 4 games the rest of the way and I seriously think we have a chance of only losing 1 game the rest of the way. GS will be highly motivated to beat us, after our 3 wins, and what would be a 9 game winning streak.
God, the season is so long. We should actually put more value on division championships just to acknowledge the effort, endurance, persistence it takes to play winning basketball throughout this grueling-ass schedule.
There are 4 remaining games where I could understand if a healthy Rockets team were to lose: Golden State Warriors @ Milwaukee Bucks @ Los Angeles Clippers(it's a B2B) @ Oklahoma City Thunder They should be favored in every other game and they should win each one of them.
No Jinx please. Everyone can check the remaining schedule if so desires. In the past, a thread like this only boils ill.
There should not be any reason at all for a healthy Rockets to lose to any of those team. The only exception I will make here is against the Bucks, but only because of their length at nearly every position who can also shoot threes.
We have three games to sit Paul on B2Bs and two games to rest in last week. b2b games: CHO Hawks or Mem Kings Last week games Knicks Phoenix
Unfortunately this is the NBA where Phoenix can beat Milwaukee and Chicago can beat Boston no game is a for sure thing
Ever since that atrocious loss to, at the time, the reeling Pelicans, I have basically looked at every game as a TOUGH game. The Rockets have blown too many leads. I LOVE the winning streak they are on, but I don't take it for granted either. Lock in on each game and don't play with your food.
The big thing is this... If we continue the way we've been going this year, we'll lose a couple of these final 18 games where we are 7-10 point favorites. If we start playing like we did last year, those couple of games will be unnecessarily close, but we'll pull them out in the end. Let hope this winning streak gives everyone confidence that we're back to our 2017-2018 form.
Last night's game was a perfect example of this, glad to see we pulled it out with defense. Positive sign going forward!
