Rockets Red Blazer T-Shirt [item of the game 4/26]

I recently won the Rockets Item of the Game T-Shirt Design Contest. I thought I'd give those who were interested in purchasing one a heads up that my winning design will be sold in the team shop at the game on Thursday. I'm guessing it will be $10. This shirt would've been perfect had we made it to playoffs this season, as the Rockets red blazer was part of our playoff run in 2009. My vision was to have many fans sporting it during the playoffs this postseason. Regardless, the shirt is a fun tribute to the iconic red blazer and a much cheaper alternative than the $240+ authentic tailored blazer.

This was the design I submitted. *Not sure how identical the finished product will be.

 

lol. I have to buy at least 7 for some friends and family, maybe more. I kind of want to buy one for Battier and give it to him when the Heat come to town next season because the shirt wouldn't be possible without him. I tweeted him a picture of it and he DM'd me something like he loved it and that it was right up his alley. Just need to find out his t-shirt size... 2XL?

I've had some out of state people ask me about that on twitter. Unfortunately, I don't think any previous item of the game t-shirts have been sold online. You might be able to email teamshop@rocketball.com and ask them to ship you one before they're sold Thurs or after if there are leftovers.

 

I know a Rowdy who knows a guy too. Everyone needs a "shirt guy" lol. He got Mav Hater shirts printed for me and some of the other rowdies for the home mavs game. Ive had this red blazer t-shirt idea for a long time and I was going to have him print this design for the rowdies, then this contest was announced. $10 is very reasonable for this shirt and probably would be about the same price if I were to go directly to a t-shirt printer guy since I wouldn't be ordering near the quantity as the Rockets.
