This is an interesting move. He has been playing pretty well there roughly 20 ppg and 6 assists with 40% from 3. Still we have a great foursome at guard. Makes me wonder if we are considering some big trade this summer. Or is just bring even more firepower to the offense? http://www.burntorangenation.com/nb...uston-rockets-recall-d-league-texas-longhorns
Didn't we call up onuaku and Williams too ? Prolly means we are planning to give some guys a night off soon and want to give our Dbleague guys a bit of PT.
If we called them up I am not seeing it with a quick search. The Vipers did just clinch the playoffs. It would be good to see them all start with maybe Deckard and another Rocket like Montrezl and see what they can do. The sort of radical thing that maybe Pop in San Antonio would do.
Could be like how they did with Rob and Troy Daniels a couple of years ago, they were able to see quite a few minutes.
Ryan Anderson is out for 2 weeks. Just bringing extra players in case of blowouts / foul trouble. We play teams with heavy guard play coming up.
What is it with you guys and thinking every Dleague call up is setting up for a huge trade lol? Why can't it be, "just need some extra practice bodies" or "maybe give some guys a night off" etc? Most of these Dleague guys will never work out to warrant a huge trade at any time.
What I don't like about Bev and Harden being SO vocal about resting, is that now that option is basically off the table. We really should be thinking about giving those guys a rest, especially Bev.
Rockets Recall Isaiah Taylor from D League MDA: "Hey, Daryl, remember that point guard on the Vipers, the one from Texas?" Maori: "Isaiah Taylor? Yeah, I vaguely recall him. Why?"
We called all of em up http://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/ba...chinanu-onuaku-recalled-from-d-league-261712/
I think we're gonna rest em anyways . James and bev can save face by publicly saying coach's orders .
Let's fill up the roster. Bring up the troops. But fr, I hope we see an opportunity to put in Williams in...not sold on Dekker being consistent enough for the playoffs.
I'm digging it. Get him up here. Run him out there with the second unit. Run pick and roll. And give him some burn to see what we got here. If he shows good then keep running him out there behind Harden. And go smaller for more minutes. We need another playmaker. He deserves a shot.
Probably you're right. Hopefully there are a couple of games where we can convince him to only play a half .
