Rockets replaced Thornton with Thornton-like player.

Very, very different sort of player. He is a scorer. http://www.sportando.com/en/cups/eu...ngle-game-record10-three-pointers-scored.html At least he can shoot
I remember all the hype over him when he was a scoring machine and the D-League MVP on the Vipers. Glad to see him get another shot. I hope it works out for him.
Great. Let me add him to the list. Patrick Beverley, Aaron Brooks, Isaiah Cannan, Toney Douglas, Andrew Goudelock, Nick Johnson, Jeremy Lin, Ty Lawson, Scott Machado, Pablo Prigioni, Alexey Shved, Jason Terry Are these the kind of quality guards we can expect to play alongside James Harden?
Welcome to the dumpster fire Mr. Goldilocks, be prepared to jack up a massive amount of threes and remember defense is optional.
I half-way was expecting the highlight real was a bunch of passes to Kobe and rebounds from Kobe's missed shots.
Look at that, the team that loves shooting 3's got an actual 3 point shooter! Highlights don't tell the tale but it's tough to imagine a worse defender than Lawson/Thornton. We don't have much to lose so I don't have a problem with giving the kid a shot.
At this point the ideal candidate for playing next to Harden seems to be pretty clear but for whatever reason its been incredibly hard to find- -Hit open 3's (quick release even better) -Move without the ball to the right spots -defend the PG spot and some 2's -have SOME playmaking abilities to take pressure off of Harden -Cheap Pat Bev meets alot of these qualities but he's lacking in the playmaking, and often his shot seems to come off a bit slow at times. Also his defense is pretty overrated. He often gets burned off the dribble more than he should. I don't necessarily think Goudelock meets these qualities, but I get where they are going with this signing. Can we check off all of these boxes with a cheap player that checks off enough boxes to get their offense at least more improved. For a vet min contract I think you could do worse given what they are going for. Kind of makes me think Sergio Llull will be sought after again, and we will continue to see different guards put alongside Harden to keep trying to fit this criteria to allow the offense to get back at the very least. Defense... good luck finding that. You need an Avery Bradley type who can defend well enough to make up for everything else the Rockets give up defensively.
