before this season, aminu had almost exactly the same 3 point percentage as brewer. he basically was corey brewer. and they even signed very similar contracts.
Yall are trippin. Brewer brings so much to the table. Yes, his shot has been off but he brings so much that isn't on paper.
Even though Brewer sucks ass this year. At least he gives some semblance of defensive effort when he's on the court. That's probably why JBB plays him so god damn much...
Aminu >>> Brewer You needs to watch how tough Aminu is playing in recent seasons. Brewer? He is just soft turnover machine.
We are all painfully aware of what Corey Brewer "Brings". No paper needed. But by all means if you feel like writing "Sewer Sucks" on a piece of paper knock yourself out.
Aminu looked like he was about to have a breakout season though. He was tough in that Mavs series last year. At the time, it made no sense to sign him. The Rockets had Ariza at the 3. Brewer was coming off a respectable season as a backup. And they wanted to retain McDaniels. Hell, they even drafted a 3 in the first round too. That was the one position we really didn't seem to need any help at assuming we didn't lose anyone to free agency. Of course hindsight is 20/20. Now we all are desperate to unload Brewer. Dekker looks like a bust. Ariza is on the decline and will hopefully be on the trading block. And McDaniels has gotten so little playing time under JB, he's not gonna be ready at the start of next season to be a big time contributer.
Nah, Corey is usually tripping. He does that stupid drive, spin, throw up a prayer and trip move all the time.
So he had a good year last year, and a terrible one this year. Maybe he will bounce back with a great year next year.
