"Do I want to win a championship mode" CP3 would have accepted $10 mil less per year in order for the Rockets to retain Ariza, because he knows that Houston is the best chance he has at winning a championship any time soon. Since when has a utility role player on the decline needed to be treated or compensated better than our second star player. Ariza got PAID which is what he was looking for... and now he's part of a young rebuilding program... AND! PJ is better anyway.

People don’t really get the impact Chris Paul has on a Team. He literally keeps James harden’s Head in the game when things don’t fall his way. Yuh mid-range game keeps things calm when other teams go on a run. He sees things on the floor that no one else does. He literally trains the entire team. He gets the respect of the entire league, him being president and all. He’s gonna be a great coach one day.
