We have 3 games in 4 nights, Jones is NOT a part of the rotation, there are things that they have him working on, and so he gets sent to the D-League affiliate to work on those things.

When we have a few days off between games, he gets brought back up so he can take part in full practice and tends to stay for a game day before being re-assigned.

Odd how the assumption of most people in here is that T Jones is "confused" by what is happening.... How do you know if he's confused? Has he told you that?
Just because you aren't privy to conversations between the organisation and Jones does NOT mean they are not happening.

My guess is that the organisation is high on Jones and won't trade him. Therefore he plays D-League while the 'tradeable pieces' play NBA (Patterson, Morris, DMo)

the fuss is that whever is making the decisiin to send t.jnes to the d-league is playing patty cake with that young man's nba career.
HE WON'T DEVELOP IN THE D-LEAGUE
All he is doing is playing against scrubs, he had better cmpetitiion in college

Rockets Re-Assign Jones to Rio Grande Valley

HOUSTON – Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey announced today that the team has re-assigned forward Terrence Jones to Houston’s single-affiliation NBA D-League partner Rio Grande Valley.

Jones (6-9, 252, Kentucky) has averaged 19.1 points and 9.8 rebounds in 12 starts with Rio Grande Valley this season. At the time of his last recall, Jones stood fourth in the D-League in rebounds per game (9.8) and tied for seventh in the league in scoring average (19.1). In his rookie campaign with the Rockets, Jones has averaged 3.1 points and 1.6 rebounds in 11 games with Houston in 2012-13.

All of you laymen don't understand how basketball operations work. He's being brought up and re-assigned over and over again, so he can work on his game against competition in the D-League, and so he can practice with the team when they can make it work. What I'd like to know is if anybody who has access to practices can tell us how he's doing in practice.

Jimmer or Tyreke will do... Terrence Jones will be just about ready to backup Marcus Morris and eventually grab that starting spot.
