A complete, but not neccessarily accurate evaluation of the Rockets roster from a front office perspective: http://www.draftexpress.com/viewarticle.php?a=2019 "The development of Luther Head and the stabilization of Rafer Alston, as well as the softening of head coach Jeff Van Gundy, has helped Houston maximize their roster strength despite being relatively thin in a couple of areas in terms of high-end skill." I wish this is entirely true, but...
this bit caught my eye "Battier, Head, and Alston have been timely and consistent with their perimeter shooting, which is what makes this unit functional." consistent in the amount of shots taken, yes, consistent on making them? battier and head... to a certain extent yes... rafer... NO! haha.
The author of this piece seems to think we could acquire Darko Milicic for relative peanuts -- J-Howard, Steve Novak and our #25. Although unrealistic, I would do that in a heartbeat. Maybe quicker. Can you imagine a developing Darko playing at the 4 with Yao (5), Battier (3) and T-Mc (2)? Even Rafer couldn't screw that up.
I wonder what he smoke. Why wil Magic do that? Just to prove they enjoy to be taken advantage by Rockets over and over again?
If we get rid of Novak... he's gonna turn into a 6-10 larry bird. he should have got a little experience at the beginning of the season to see what he could do.. all of his time on the court was inconsistent.. which is really bad for a rhythm jump shooter. Even though Darko has shown flashes of a good player.. he was as inconsistent as Novaks playtime.
Orlando already has Turkoglu, Pat Garrity and even JJ Redick. What on earth would they want with Novak? Plus Orlando has Dwight Howard and Tony Battie. Why would they want Juwan?
he seems to think a lot of lior eliayhu (spelling?) too. says he would be a 1st rounder in this year's draft. wonder when he'll be ready to come over or if we could move him of something of value this year. but this can all be worked out at the end of june.
