    OLD news isn't it?
I thought he already had inked the deal with the Sixers weeks ago

Does not surprise me, one of the best shooters out there...... maybe after his contract.

So JJ caught wind of the CP trade and wanted to start afresh somewhere else.

Maybe the Rockets offered more, but it was for more years. Maybe like 36/3 with team option the last year.

I'm guessing by more money he means more years and higher than $23M?

Well our guard rotation is pretty stacked so it makes sense. Find it hard to believe that we offered more $ on a 1yr deal. Had to have been a longer contract.

    more money over more years

    I prefer Ego to him

What would we have given up in a S&T for him?

I think OP is referring to the referenced tweet with supposedly a Redick quote.

[Edit] Agree with other posts above saying must be for more years.

He was offered more years with a lesser annually salary, calm TF down. He turned it down because he was going to come off the bench and E.G. was probably going to be part of a sign and trade for JJ, which I would've been devastes about. I'm glad we didn't replace e.g. with JJ whom I feel is an extremely overrated player. No reason why he shouldn't be starting, especially on a championship level team.

Why? We already have one too many over paid, slow, unathletic stiff on the team.

That's crazy. E.G. Is better than JJ. Even with all his injuries, he's still more fluid and athletic than JJ. And has better handles. It would've been a downgrade. I've always been down on JJ but especially an not a fan after the semifinal series against the clippers. Dude shyt the bed. He didn't show up. If he hit 38 percent of the open threes he brick Clips win that series in 6. Him and Crawford were the biggest reason the clips lost that series against Houston

    Bummer.

    Reddick is better than Gordon.

I prefer Gordon. He had his ups and downs in the playoffs, but he at least showed up in some games(especially vs OKC). Reddick pulled a Claude Rains against the Jazz.

Have you like, not ever seen J.J. Redick play??? Slow?? Stiff?? Yeah, he's completely the opposite of those things. Also, who on OUR roster is slow and unathletic??? Shitposting before noon......nice.

The most we could offer was like 8 million, he made 3 times that for one season

    1 year/23 million>>>>>>>4 years/34 million

Not even a hard choice really. Over the next 4 years he will very likely come close to doubling whatever we offered him, and he can always go to a contender next season
