Pelinka had turned the agency over to employees Brandon Rosenthal, Erika Williams and Day. "She's in the position right now" Harden said. "She's working hard for it." Asked if Day is taking the steps to become certified as an agent with the players association, Harden said, "That's the plan." Harden said again that he was happy for Pelinka and praised his work with him in his eight NBA seasons. "It's a dream job," Harden said. "I know it's an opportunity of a lifetime that he'll be really, really great at. Obviously, I'm sad that he's leaving as a partner and as a friend. Credit to him. He's worked extremely hard for that position. He helped me mature. As a rookie coming out of college, he showed me things. Any time you need something out of basketball, he was there for me. "He's a great guy, a great human being. He'll do a great job in this position."
