I just heard from Chris Sheridan on ESPN that the Rockets are rumored to be in the talks with the Bulls in trading Bonzi for Sweetney. He also said that the Pistons are interested in Bonzi and offered Dale Davis. Sheridan thinks the latter could happen, since JVG loves older vets and Davis could fit in with this system. We could also be the third team involved in the Bibby to Cleveland trade. I don't know about you guys, but I don't think any of these potential trades would help out the Rox very much, if at all. What do you all think?

I think we need someone that could also contribute on offense

This third team deal intrigues me insofar as it might be a way to ship Raefer out of my timezone.

Are you kidding me? This rumor might have made sense a week ago before we traded useless Padgett for a serviceable PF/C in Big Jake. Dale Davis would do nothing but clog the frontcourt and bring the team's average age up to 55.

Sweetney? The hell with "riding the pine" because i'm pretty sure Sweetney ate the "pine" in Chicago. Seriously, those of you that like to crack the "Bonzi = fat" jokes would have a field day with Sweetney.

I don't know about any of those rumors, but I'm guessing all the main players would go between Sacramento and Cleveland while the Rockets get some lesser contributor for being the third team to make it happen.

I rather keep Bonzi than bring in these losers.

In those situations, the Rockets HAVE to keep Bonzi. Bonzi is a legit 3rd option. Sweetney and Davis are not. Sweetney is out of shape...we all know what happens when you're out of shape in JVG's camp. Davis is not worth a major piece in our playoff run. Don't trade Bonzi just to trade him!

Agreed, any chance of getting someone else from the Bulls, Duhon perhaps. I have been trying to think of teams that would like to have a guy like Bonzi down the stretch and have not thought of the Bulls. I personally think Duhon is one of the most valuable players on that team and is very underrated because he doesn't have the stats but I really wish the Rockets could have a PG like him.

bulls have tried starting gordon. the numbers don't lie. they're not giving up duhon. anyway current pg's on the rockets need to be able to shoot. duhon can't find his shot when he's given starter minutes.
