Well you also have to remember Jordan is like 29 and has been playing basketball over a decade, Clint is only 23 so shouldn't the dude who has been doing this over a decade be better?

Clint is definitely gonna get paid but there is very little to no chance he will get a contract like Jordan's, Jordan made the max during his time which in today's NBA will cost around 25M for Capela. Even without specifics Capela is bound to get a cheaper contract than Jordan, and unlike Jordan who is already 29 Capela is not even in his prime yet. Capela is gonna be our building block in the future so he shouldn't be traded unless it's for another young superstar.

I think Capela will get at least as much as Jordan gets now. Maybe not the max but some team is gonna give him a pretty crazy contract.

The thing about Capela, he's really gotten better, he even hits free throws; but he isn't that third star that Morey covets; he's the chip that might help land that third star.

Morey tends to discard players once they want a contract extension that will cut into "But-But, My Superstars" money.

DeAndre is Capela's ceiling. I am dubious Capela can reach that. Not that Capela can have a "game" like that, but that I don't see Capela "consistently" playing at DeAndre's level. It is the consistency.

Capela has greatly improved. Even his free throws look good (don't let me jinx that by mentioning it). But we need more of a beast down low (although DeAndre and those free throws, jee-zus).

If he gets as much as Jordan gets now thats still a massive improvement, the NBA cap increased since Jordan's time. Jordan will be 30 nxt year and Capela will be 24, easy to see which is the better deal. And that's a big if how much better is he over Noel? Noel couldn't even get an 18M deal and had to sign a 5M contract just so he can be an UFA.

This isn't true at all. Jordan suffers from butter hands, low bball IQ (remember that clip of Cp3 shouting at him to shoot the ball?) and worst of all his horrendous ft shooting. Those are the things that prevent Jordan from being a superstar and Capela already has none of those issues at age 23. So saying his ceiling is Jordan is wrong because if Capela reaches Jordan's skill and production it means he is already way better than Jordan. That's like saying a guy's ceiling is only James Harden but he is already an all nba level defender.

Talking about consistency at a 23 yr old isn't fair, why should you expect Capela to be consistent when he is still filling out his body? Dude is consistent enough to get you at least 12 pts and 8 rebs a night, that is more than enough for someone his age.
