DJ would be amazing on this team...if only he could hit his free throws...

Not surprised. Dorsey over Jordan was a huge mistake in hindsight

I don't think Chris wants to play with DJ and vice versa so it is a moot point.

CP3 wasn't in play when this deal was going down. Imagine DJ getting lobs instead of Capela. I'm also imagining having to bench DJ because he can't hit FTs. DJ is better than Clint right now but he is also 6 years older. Clint is rapidly making up the difference. He has already eclipsed him in FTs-low bar, and go to right/left hand hook shot when no dunk shot or lob is available.

I'm glad this didn't go down.

Agree. OP added the word Swap, which makes it appear straight up.

This reads like an alternative to the Lou trade with our #1 pick...and would have included many more players. I don't see how we have the players and picks to make both trades.

Jordan made like $20m more than Capela, so we would have needed a lot of salary, and Brewer's salary only gets you half way there. And Brewer's salary was a net negative value in the Lou trade, too.

It does tell you the possible value of Clint Capela

That he can be traded for an all-star is a good sign for his value.

I guess last year it could have made sense.

Now, I think it would be a mistake.

Pass. Capela has the same production as DJ but at a fraction of the cost and he has more upside than Jordan

The trades that don’t happen are often good they didn’t.

Meh, you have to see what the follow up was.

Maybe we dumped Anderson in the swap.

Interesting, but doesn't tell us much.
