Pile that up with a player and we have a possible star player... Great news! Thanks for sharing!

I am assuming HOU will receive a pick and not give one, given that HOU has no first rounder to give in the 2013 draft. But I wonder whether HOU even wants a 1st rounder's cap hit given where the cap numbers stand.

Yeah I don't really get it either. We need future picks, or maybe Cleveland's two high 2nd rounders.

Well, it could help us if we draft an overseas player that we are not going to bring over yet. If that player signs a letter of non-intent to come over (basically barring them from coming over next season) then their contract is not counted against us and we maintain their rights.

Also, perhaps there are other parts of the trade -- such as a late 1st rounder for TRob and Royce White...that's speculation and hopes though, so, mainly my first paragraph, less this current one.

Getting a first in this year's draft for Robinson only sheds like $1M. Makes no sense.

Yeeee, what is the money difference between robinson's (5th pick) second year contract, and a late (25+) first year rookie contract? I bet its close to 2 million.

Wait. So if the player stays overseas then there isn't a cap hit?
