Rockets getting new court design? (NBA 2K12 screen shots)

    I recently watched a few videos on NBA 2K12 through youtube and came across a video which showed some slight adjustments to the Rockets court:

    - There isn't any red paint on the actual free throw strip
    - There isn't any Toyota Center logo labeled on the actual court either.

    There's no Toyota center logo because Toyota didn't agree with 2K about putting it in the game. Notice how not all stadium have the sponsor names.

    The red paint is probably not in the game for color contrast reasons? For instance, the circle showing who you control is actually Rockets Red in that video.

    Same reason MJ doesn't allow it, I suppose. $$

    Personally, i think it would have been worth it. Do you know how many times that game is played on a daily? Thats a lot of exposure.:confused:

    Yeah but do you know how many people could care less about what the arena is named? I used to see it all the time in 2k11, I could care less where I was playing.

    IDK, but it was the same in NBA Live from like 06-now.

    I'm always surprised they say "Knicks Arena or NY arena" especially when Dolan owns the Garden.

    You can assume something for jerseys. But don't assume anything for courts.
    2K is notorious for getting minor details wrong. Unless there is a complete court rehash, then usually its just an error on 2K's part.

    (There was one time where they completely ****ed up Cleveland's court last year)

    It is about product placement, 2k charges Toyota to put their logo in their product, Toyota can choose to do it or pass...obviously they passed.

    My My player guy is the starting SF for the Rockets, drafted in the first round, averaging 21ppg, but the team is not doing so well, I got to get my stats up so I can dominate and lead the Rockets to that championship.

    Man same with me. My player is dominating but the rest of the Rockets cant do **** to back me up. Also, they decided to trade J Hill, Lowry, Thabeet, Scola and a few others. Totally chopped up my team.

    What did you rank up first? My midrange game is where I rock, but I need to get better at shooting when covered.

    yeah rookie year.

    6'6" started at 59 and now 69:p. Mid-range game is a beast and I lead the league in steals. Avg. 20PPG.

    I pump fake on almost every shot. I get in the painted area and just shoot J's all day.
