Rockets fan details: how to beat harden and the Rockets

    Ok red nation so I thought it would be fun to put on our thinking cap and use our knowledge of watching the rockets everyday to figure out a way to beat ourselves.

    It's not like a jazz or opposing coach would read this forum so let's be serious and try to break us down and formulate a winning strategy. Ok here is mine.

    • I think its say to say gimmick defenses cant work in a 7 game series against smart players. So my first thing would be to play us physical. N by that I mean attack the head of the snake:harden. on both offense and defense. We all know harden is leaps n bounds better defensive but I think this is just my general strategy against any great player.
    •play harden full court like pat bev...cause its 2 fold. 1 you make him use up more energy and 2 it makes the rockets get into their offense later in the shot clock.
    Now the counter would be for the rockets to just let cp3 handle...which I would do the same strategy to him...cause I've notice both cp3 n harden dont like being pressured filled court. N he old so the toll will wear on him in 7 too.

    •attack harden on offense..but not on the post. Harden weakness is making him move his feet. So I would switch him on my best offensive player high then blow pass him to the rim....n watch out for the raccoon steal my fam like to call them(pokes from the back after blow by)

    • throw random blitzes n doubles late in the shot clocks.

    •run in transition before the rockets get there down so they cant run the switch d.

    •put a heavy emphasis on out rebounded the rockets

    •force them into 2s at all costs

    Lol guys chill out, I'm a life long generational rockets fan. what's wrong with analyzing ourselves. What harm can come from it. I just wanna see what you should do if you had to game plan to beat the rockets

    If i was Quin Snyder..
    1. Throw a double team on him.
    2. If he beats that, throw a triple team
    3. If he beats that, screw it, send all 8 (including zebras)
    4. If that don't work, screw, just forfeit so the Rockets can rest up for the real series.

    Na its analyzing your team...why is this so hard for people to do...u do know the team does this also right. You have to know your weaknesses.

    They hardly do it in the postseason, they had the whole regular season to analyze weaknesses..... starting with MCW and Melo.
