Let's hope the organization is smart enough to keep the PG with the highest upside to play for the Rockets in decades. DD
Hey I like him a lot too......but not at the point - unless we have an uber quick wing that can guard the other teams small quick PGs. DD
Chris Broussard @Chris_Broussard Suns having dinner with Eric Gordon right now. Phx is considering offering him max deal (4 years, $58 million), sources say Retweeted by John Hollinger So let's hope Suns get Gordon so they stay away from Dragic?
Oh, and if Morey let's him walk, just like Cuban let Nash walk, and Dragic becomes a good player as expected - well, let's just say that a lot of Rocket fans will notice, including the one that owns the team. DD
I've always liked Lowry more than Dragic. There is no way Goran Dragic is worth just $2 million less a year than Nash. Goran is around the 6-7 mill mark.
It's really on PG-Royce White SG-Chandler Parsons SF-Marquis Morris C-Patrick Patterson PF-Terrence Jones MOREY'S 69ERS. (in more ways than one)
Yeah, keep the fat, malcontented, slow footed, average shooting, ball tossing, entitled player - over the better one. That is what good organizations do, they settle for lessor players - hmmm 14th pick eh???? Yep, sounds famililar. DD
if dragic wanted 10 mill he should've finished the season strong and led us to the playoffs instead of deferring to lowry. i'd give him 8 mill but thats it.
I believe that verbal agreements are binding in the NBA; if even the slightest rumor leaks out that Dragic and the Rockets have an agreement above his cap hold, the league will immediately make that his salary and the Rockets will no longer be able to make the Asik offer. I'm not surprised he's shopping for a new deal. Dragic isn't going to sign with the Rockets until at least after July 14th, when we know about Asik's status. It's going to be a long and worrysome wait until that contract becomes finalized.
