My guess is they plan to stash Hartenstein overseas and couldn't do that with this kid and didn't need to add any additional salary with their current plans.

As a fellow Duck I followed him closely and was a big fan of course. He was a great college talent and he's clutch but I'm not confident he can carve out a decent role in this league. He would have had a hard time even beating out Dekker for minutes.

I guess Morey is happy with Dekker at SF.

he's one of those perfect college players but their game doesn't really adjust to the league. for example, in college, you can get away with dudes who have brooks' skillset on offense closing out games (he was really clutch tho). in the NBA? lol no way.

    plus he's a flopper

wow, perhaps Rox just saw that and decided they didn't want Harden to relapse :)

Troy Williams. Dekker is a 4 in our system according to MDA.

Second rounders don't count against the cap, they can be signed after free agency. Only 1st rounders have cap holds. Rockets also signed an undrafted player in Cam Oliver directly after the draft ended anyways lol.

We must have not seen anybody we deemed worth the pick, or do wish to add is as an asset to a trade.

I like this trade. It will be the worst of Charlotte Miami and Memphis but all 3 could end up being bottom 10 teams next year. Making it in the 30s and an earlier 2nd.

I don't get it--the pick they will get from this will likely be below 45 in 2018. So why not just take a pick at 45 now? They must really not like the prospects available.

3rd Best Brooks tenure on the Rockets after Aaron Brooks 2008-11 and Aaron Brooks 2013-14
