    Talent, not loyalty, is valued.

And not just in this league, but everywhere.

    Just FYI-

The only reason why Delfino and Brooks have not had their options declined yet is because they both will be tradeable up until draft night. The Rockets will most likely try to use both of their contracts to move down, or around on draft night.

    Garcia's contract was not tradeable.

It's a cap move to keep flexibility for the event of a max player like Dwight is available. If no such max player is signed, Morey would offer Garcia a contract. Unless his market value is higher, I'd expect to sign him for 3milx4year deal.

Thank you Garcia for keeping us in games with your 3 ball. Gonna miss your energy as a solid bench contributor for Harden and Parsons.

I wonder if he'd leave money on the table to stay here.

I don't know why Garcia would want to go to LA over us..

they dont have any chance of being a contender. he seems like a no nonsense person. houston seems like the no nonsense place for him.

After we sign our star or stars or "Good solid players" *I hope star and stars :[* If we have space only way I would take em is Vet minimum and that's only because he seemed like a really good teamate and was part of the team success and nailed some 3's when we really needed him to. Although if we have the opportunity to sign other free agents that are younger and better I think id pass on Garcia but he really does seem like a great teamate and overall nice guy and I hope the best for him. He will defiantly find a team regardless if Rockets sign him or not because he showed great poise and play in a Rockets uniform and I am sure teams noticed.

Why would a role player accept less money to play for a team when he could be traded to another team any time?

First off how would he be traded he's a free agent?

Second off Ask Shane Battier, Ask Mike Miller, Ask Ray Allen. The obvious answer is championship as I stated if we signed a star or stars.

Delfino + Brooks = 2nd round draft pick!!!

2nd round non-guaranteed so we can maintain cap flexibility and add a min. contract player.

Delfino & Brooks don't have options, which is why they're tradeable. Their contracts for next season are unguaranteed.

Are you sure? I looked at several salary sites and they are listed as team options:

    Delfino $3m
    Brooks $2.5m

What's the difference between team option and non-guaranteed?
