After an offensive masterpiece last night (140 Ortg - Absurd!) The Rockets are currently in sole possession of the greatest offense of all time. Only 8 teams have ever hit >115 rating. -Current GSW team twice -Showtime Lakers once -Jordan's Bulls twice -Bird/ McHale Celtics once -Penny/Shaq Magic once -SSOL Suns once Only 1 team has ever hit > 116 rating. -CP3 / Harden Rockets
It's weird that the 2009-2010 Suns are on there with Alvin Gentry coaching them. I would have thought a Dan Tony Suns team would be top 10
This team doesn’t turn the call over anymore. It’s the biggest stat along with their defensive rebounding that will be the main key in defeating GSW.
Across all sports, I'm a firm believer that basketball's ORtg and DRtg are the two simplest and best stats to gauge Team efficiency. I mean, how can you argue with points per possession. It's so elegant and meaningful to the game. And the difference between the two (point differential) is one of the most useful predictive measures, too. I guess we can argue about how useful it is comparing team across eras, but ever sport would have the same issue, and this stat still is best for that vs other sports, imo.
i remember MDA saying in the offseason we could have the best offense EVER. After watching us dismantle Minnesota last night, I'm convinced we haven't even seen our best yet. Last night was SCARY
All those games our rotations players missed and Gordon shooting nine 3's a game at 33% are dampering max potential!
Paul and Harden's playoff failures is what will continue defining this team to the media until they overcome the hurdle. I hope we make it all the way this year. I'm ready to spend a lot of money on the Rockets to celebrate a championship at TC.
Not sure on games, but when those three are on the court it's 124.8 http://nbawowy.com/8y7dz71fk9b#/8y7dz71fk9b
1986-87 Lakers -- only because the Stern cocaine sting operation on the Rockets after they made it to the Finals. 1991-92 Bulls -- Rockets split that season series against the Bulls, but that version of the Rockets had a winning record against that iteration of the Jordan Bulls. 1994-95 Magic -- Um... didn't that Finals team get swept by some 6th seed?!
