Including the players drafted and past international stash picks. Not including Dmo who is restricted but still a free agent. I'm looking for a complete rockets roster and the ones on NBA sites still include goudelocke and Beasley who I thought were one years contracts and dmo who is a restricted free agent. Dwight is unrestricted....terry and josh smith I thought were at the end too. Do rio grande players have contracts with the rockets or not?

Basically looking for the guys they either have locked up or have the rights to right now. Nothing less, nothing more.

    Thanks!

    The current roster is this:

    James Harden
    Corey Brewer
    Trevor Ariza
    Patrick Beverley
    K.J. McDaniels
    Donatas Motiejunas - restricted
    Sam Dekker
    Clint Capela
    Montrezl Harrell
    Michael Beasley - non guaranteed
    Andrew Goudelock - non guaranteed
    Terrence Jones - restricted

    Bird Rights
    Dwight
    Terry

    Draft rights:
    Zhou Qi
    Chinanu Onuaku
    Sergio Llull
    Allesandro Gentile

Beasley and Goudelock are indeed under contract. Terrence Jones is a goner IMO but the Rockets have made it known that they want DMo back.

Beasley and Goudelock are both on contact still with team options.

The Rockets may have up to 15 players under contract when the season starts. All of those players count against the 15 man roster even if they are assigned to RGV. So a player may be in RGV and under contract to the Rockets. Most players in RGV are not under contract to the Rockets.

    The Rockets have also signed:
Gary Payton II - 3 year partially guaranteed
Isaiah Taylor - 3 year partially guaranteed
Kyle Wiltjer - 3 year partially guaranteed

Those players will likely participate in the summer league and attend training camp. It is very likely that none of those players make the final 15 man roster and they will likely be cut and become free agents.

However, since the Rockets did sign them, if they cut them and if no other NBA team signs them to a contract then RGV will own their D-League rights and Rockets will have some amount of control over their development and playing time.

Those players would be free to sign with another NBA team at any time but as long as that does not happen then the Vipers will own their d-league rights even though they would not be under any contract with the Rockets.

Venson Hamilton is the future. That's what I got from this thread.

Great so what I'm really going to get at is that unless you believe in miracles we can basically start to outline the final 15 now. I think Dmo is probably getting paid unless someone offers max. Hell, Dwight might still be in the picture because this is not a strong roster without him. Beasley is a no brainer to me and goudelocke seems a fit as well. There's plenty of spots available for the guys they just picked up including international picks. I'd rather bring Qi over and send him to rio grande to get more acclimated to this brand of ball than leave him overseas. Gentile seems a good fit as well but I'd really hope Dekker starts to shine. I think Harrell is going to have a big summer league so hopefully that translates. I'm not super pumped about this roster but I do think they have a couple of guys primed to step up and maybe make it look better than it does currently.

Dwight is as gone as gone can get. We own his bird rights which means we can exceed the salary cap to resign him but we can not compel him to sign back with us and we do not have the right to match contract offers from another team.

Additionally I don't think the Rockets really want him back and I don't think he prefers to be here anymore.

I pretty much agree. This team as a whole has a bad omen on it. I'm looking forward to the 2026 14th pick I guess.

I mean, if Dwight is really hell bent on leaving which is probable....

They pretty much have to rely on some new, young talent right? Kinda my point here. No reason to bring back Smoove or terry. We pretty much need Dekker, Harrell, Payton jr, chinanu, Qi to come play.
