    WOW, if i was up there in age and my wife died I would want to follow sooner rather than later ...RIP Mr Sampson.

    But as a son I cant imagine how hard this is.

    My condolences to Coach Sampson.

    Man, this coaching staff is cursed.

    That's 4 deaths between him and McHale in the span of 2 years.

    That's gotta be so tough to lose both parents in such a brief amount of time. My maternal grandparents passed away within 2 months of each other, and that was a really rough time for us. Thoughts go out to the Sampson family.

    I wouldn't call it a curse. What happened to McHale's daughter was tragic, but both coaches are in their late 50's. It stands to reason that when you reach that age, your parents might pass away(my mom and dad were both in their early 40's when they lost the 2nd of their two parents).
