According to basketball reference's rating system, we are 2nd in offensive rating with 112.2 points per 100 possessions. GSW is 1st with 117.5 points per 100 possessions.

On defense, we are rated 8th in defensive rating with us giving up 103.9 points per 100. This is also without the best defensive PG in the league in CP3 who had a defensive RPM last season of 2.76 with Beverly being the 2nd best at 1.37. This is also with Nene, Luc and Ariza all missing decent amount of stretches. Clint is definitely going to get a max from someone this offseason.

Also we are 1st in defensive rebounding % so far this season after being 21st last season.

I will pull the numbers that exclude garbage time when the other site updates.

We will be paying Clint’s Max.

There is going to be some serious tax issues for the next several years.

Lebron will be taking a huge paycut to play second fiddle to the real King James. Nothing to worry about.

Do u know what that site counts as garbage time? Is it a 15+ point lead with less than 3 minutes left or something like that?

being top 10 in both offensive and defensive efficiency is usually considered the benchmark for being a legit title contender

When CP3 comes back, we could push towards the top 5 in defensive efficiency, and that 2nd ranked offense isn’t going anywhere.

He’s just saying that is usually when we play like crap, 3rd stringers, thus not like a team with top 10 offense and defense. There’s no way you can measure that.

Looks like his formula is 10+ in the 4th with 2 or less starters on the court from either team.

No, there is actually a guy who measures it. Was former Analytics director for Blazers and in analytics department in Philly under Hinkie.

I hope so. Though the ranks compared to GSW are close (1st vs 2nd, 6th vs 8th), the Net differential really shows how big of a gap we still have (13.1 vs 9.1). We'll see how much CP3 impacts that gap soon.

    that's actually small considering they have 2 top 5, a top 10, a top 20, and a top 50 player
