Rockets acquire second-round pick from Magic By JONATHAN FEIGEN Copyright 2007 Houston Chronicle TOOLS Email Get section feed Print Subscribe NOW Comments Recommend The Rockets will not be able to call it a night after their first-round pick in tonight's NBA Draft, after all. For the second consecutive season, the Rockets on Thursday purchased a second-round pick from the Orlando Magic. This season, the Rockets picked up the draft pick the Magic got from the Cleveland Cavaliers, giving the Rockets the 26th pick in the first round and the 24th pick in the second round, No. 54 overall. The Rockets dealt their own second-round pick, No. 56 overall, to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2005 along with Reece Gaines to acquire Mike James, whom they had since dealt and re-acquired. jonathan.feigen@chron.com Interesting. How does this change the Rockets draft? Will this be a pick for the 4 spot or a foreing player? I can't wait for the draft!
