    madness

Mueller apparently has a general warrant to go after anything, with unlimited time, funding, and scope

There was never any doubt that this was going to be a witch hunt, the question was always about what is the best that he can come up with.

That's not what that tweet indicates. The more simple explanation is that they are going into the background of Manafort and his connection with Putin and Putin's allies. If that goes back to 2006 there is no reason not to delve into that background. It makes perfect sense. It doesn't mean there is a general warrant to go after anything with unlimited time, funding and scope.

Shouldn't have done the crime then. (Assuming there was one)

If there wasn't a crime, there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

Is it so hard to live a life of not committing crimes???

The most criminal thing I've done is smoke pot. LOL

If Manafort smoked pot I wouldn't care. Sounds like he did alot worse than that though LOL.

LOCK HIM UP!! LOCK HIM UP!!

I think the continually expanding scope of the investigation suggests that they struck out while looking for crimes and are now hoping to find some in the distant past, we'll see if anything comes of it.

This post sums up your persona on this site perfectly.

I am glad you "think" that. I hope you can tell me the lottery numbers for next week also.

I'm glad that you didn't even bother trying to refute or even discuss what I actually said, if you had, I might be forced to take you seriously. As such...well, it's just more of you being you.

There is nothing to refute. You just expressed platitudes of what you wish is happening.

Everything you said is pure conjecture and there is no precedent that the expansion of a investigation means 'can't find anything'. You have no insight into the matter. Expansion of investigations can mean so many different things including finding sufficient evidence to expand an investigation.

Are you saying he wants me to refute his statements with my own pure speculation and go in circles? When neither of us know all of the facts.

Mueller is going back that many years because there has been evidence that was when Manafort first started the overall plot of creating an easily malleable (dumb a**) "Manchurian candidate" that could make democracy appear as a joke around the world. It's a simple timeline of evidence.

Manafort and Trump are both wishing they had never met each other.

Expansions of investigations always mean fishing expeditions, well, unless the expansion is into Hillary Clinton's email server, then it's legitimate of course. You can only dream of being as objective and wise as the great Bobby.

I love that people don't want Mueller to find out what's going on.

"Find out what happened in 2016, but if to understand that, you need to understand what happened in 2014, ****ing forget about it, man. Just stop already! Jesus."

Very possible that Muller III hasn't found anything criminal, but the scope of the examination doesn't tell us anything one way or the other. If criminal wrong doing is found, the investigation does not stop suddenly and an indictment isn't usually immediately handed down. The entire investigation is usually completed first, unless there is a strategic reason to not wait. For example indicting a subordinate for the purpose of forcing them to cooperate against the primary target.
