It's grand coming from a career 7 ppg benchwarmer that rode the coat-tails of Hakeem, Kobe, Shaq, Duncan to be throwing shade at the guy who was a top 5 player in his prime. I'd love to hear him tell that to AI, Malone, Nash, Reggie Miller etc. T-mac had the 3rd highest ppg in playoff scoring in Orl-Hou.
Yep he sure road them coat tails. Those players have Horry to thank as much as he has them to thank. It takes five I'd love it if this squad had a prime Horry type at the PF spot. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/eFlLRsHz0sA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Lol, like dumb mcgrady fans ever cared about championships! You got to realize that these jealous McGrady fans must be really pissed. Horry is even a better TV Analyst than Tmac too!
Mike Tyson and McGrady have something in common. Mike Tyson was known for knocking people in the first round. Tmac is known for being knocked out in the first round. This stuff is too easy bro.
Not denying his impact, he was a great knock down shooter and hit clutch shots for us, but he was a role player that was lucky enough to have played on Clutch City Rockets behind Hakeen, Clyde, Otis. A Lakers 3-peat team behind prime Kobe, Shaq, and a Spurs team behind prime Duncan, Parker, Ginobli. He was never even close to being an alpha dog like T-mac.
An alpha dog that hung out in the stands wearing a suit instead of playing when it mattered time and time again.
They got you wrong bro, I'm going rep you, I don't give a damn what you say about the Texans Your Rockets knowledge is on the money
He damn sure stepped up like one though. I see what you're saying, but no great Superstar got anywhere without that role player or two stepping up when it mattered. He was lucky to be on those teams. Agreed. They were lucky to have him. Lets hope we get some great role player from the Ariza's and Beverleys on this team if we make the playoffs. Without them we go nowhere.
Yeah I remember that, I also remember in 08 when he dropped 40-10 on the Jazz on one leg and an injured shoulder while Yao was in a suit and our 2nd leading scorer was Rafer Alston. I also remember in 05 against the Mavs he single-handedly won 2 playoff games and our 3rd leading scorer was Mike freaking James.
No he wouldn't. Horry was as clutch as they come. That's not exactly McGrady, Spurs comeback and all.
you ain't old enough to remember Robert Horry and what real Rockets championships truly are, so you should take your cherry picking moments from an era where we won jack **** and put in under a pillow
McGrady was one of the 5 most talented perimeter players I have ever seen.... He was also soft as hell and a poor leader.
