He's part of the old sportscenter I like. It was a joy watching him do nhl highlights. Thought it was different. I thought his gimmick got tiring towards the end though. Dude was a straight up pro on the set. Whether hosting sportscenter, or hostin a sports studio show, he was very good. Today was the first day I saw his speech in its entirety. I didn't see it live, but heard it was stupendous. I didn't want to watch it because of how moving it was. And yeah, that was pretty damn moving.

Scott was by far my favorite anchor as I was growing up. Watching Hannah Storm tearing up right now on sportscenter has actually made me tear up. RIP
Damn. That nfl network Rich Eisen one. Wasn't sure if I should watch that one. That one will get you. Normally, I hate espn because espn loves them some espn, but yeah, today feels right. Good job today by espn.
Goodbye Stuart. You brought new phrases to my life as a kid watching ESPN and the network truly lost a big chunk of personality with your passing. Rest well.
damn...anyone see rich eisen talking about him this morning...got misty eyed watching that EDIT: http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2015...n-video#ooid=A4c3hscjpS4gplalJm1rDuqaRajtu58k
That Rich Eisen tribute has me misty eyed man. Rip Stu. Fond memories of watching Sportscenter at a friend's house and my friend's dad who was black just eating up everything Stuart Scott said. Booyah.
ESPN did a great job of memorializing him. I'm sorry Stuart for making stupid jokes about your eye as an immature kid. I don't regularly watch the channel and had no idea he was sick. My mother went through years of chemo before passing away. He's a great example for others fighting cancer.
When I first saw him on ESPN, he used to annoy the crap out of me. However, I have to admit and agree that he was a great sportscaster and you have to give him great props for sticking to his guns and always being himself. In watching ESPN this morning and hearing all the tributes, I realize that not only was he a great sportscaster but also a great father and a great man. RIP - Stu - you have always been as cool as the other side of the pillow.
Damn. That's terrible. Taken away in the prime of his life. I knew he had cancer but didn't know he was at the end.
Great sportscaster, amazing guy, and awesome father. Was watching the espys live when he made his speech and the video they showed of him going through his treatments was really heart breaking. RIP Stuart; they don't make them like you anymore
I thought this too. Loved how he went about his business, quietly and confidently, even in his battle with cancer. Freaking shame. RIP.
I really enjoyed him as a sports anchor. The past few years have understandably been tough but it really hurt my opinion of him when he said on twitter that minorities cannot be racist. But when it came to sports highlights he was always a pleasure.
