JJ was asked about if he would like to be shown a contract like what Peterson got ONE YEAR EARLIER than when his rookie deal was up and he answered it like he didnt want to play out his rookie contract.

Its not hard to give the best player in the league on the defensive side of the ball the biggest contract the nfls ever seen but it didnt have to do with rick, it had to do with JJ wanting that money upfront. He was getting it regardless anyway.

Overall Rick has done a decent job. We all know it's a hit and miss when it's concerning the draft. This year's draft class will be his best.

So Brooks Reed, Derek Newton, Whitney Mercilus, Brandon Brooks, Ben Jones, Jared Crick, Hopkins, Hal, Blue, Kevin Johnson, Mckinney were all worthless. I won't even bring Clowney and Xavier in the conversation because they have both showed improvement. Same with Jaelen Strong. No team hits on every pick. Hell, most teams miss on at least half their picks. Smith is not perfect....by any means......but not to give him credit for his good draft picks and knack for undrafted FA signings.........is stupid.

What results has Smith gotten? The Texans have been a sub .500 franchise with 3 wildcard berths since he took over.

Morey has yet to have a losing season with more than double the playoff appearances in one less season.

Just stop. No one has made any jokes, comments or referenced that being an issue. You are just fishing for an argument.

Because of the nebulous power structure under Kubiak and BOB, we really have no idea if he's a good GM or not.

I don't really follow closely enough other than to know there is a Mr. Clutch/BobbytheGreat feud going on. Is this the kind of post he usually makes?

Um....Texans have won their division 3 out of the last 5 years, including last year.
You don't even know the facts.

You know...the Houston Oilers won their division only TWICE since the NFL merger.

One more thing......it is ALOT harder to make the playoffs in the NFL than the NBA. You have to just SUCK to miss the NBA playoffs.
