    HOUSTON — Greenpeace activists are hanging from the Fred Hartman Bridge in an effort to block traffic in the Houston Ship Channel.

    There appear to be about 11 activists suspended from below the bridge with flags.

    At a morning press conference, sheriff's deputies said they would not attempt to force a rescue or removal of the activists unless they become a safety or health hazard. Deputies said they don't want to risk the lives or rescuers or the activists.

    Clanton is such a typical idiotic conservative. According to the them you have to be a vegetarian who dresses in his own homemade clothes and travels by horse and buggy in order to be authentic enough to protest climate change or the fossil fuels industry. Grow up, dork.

    I don't particularly agree with them, but I'm cool with civil disobedience when protesters are willing to be arrested and pay the price for it.

    Those arrested were a very diverse group. I dont hate them and i am sure they knew the consequences. I would probably be a bit more mad if i still used that bridge daily. We should all find our passion.
