Terrence Jones is unplayable right now.

With Jones on the court the Rockets are 9.6 points worse per 100 poss.
    on-court team OffRrg: 104.7
    on-court team DefRtg: 114.3

He also has the worst on/off court net differential on the team at -12.8.

Time to pull the plug on giving Jones minutes, he's hurting the team every time he steps on the floor. Until Capela comes back from injury, I would bring Harrell/DMo off the bench at the 4/5. The bench is obviously playing awful right now, they need to start weeding out the worst of that group. Jones is at the top that list, with Lawson not too far behind.

And yet with all of their statistical data and analytics the coaches are unaware of this?

    Hard to believe

I'm sure they tried to at the trade deadline, probably couldn't even get a 2nd round pick for him at this point.

Well Capela replaced him but if hurt.

Other than that they must be hoping he plays like he used to

T.Jones should be bought out. He's had multiple chances & couldn't get it done.

    TIME TO MOVE ON.

    Maybe Lawson too.

At this point: I don't care what we get back. Just get rid of him.

Aren't we supposed to be an analytical team. You would think Morey would know how awful the bench has been months ago and practically no changes at all. What the hell is going on?

Capela was a huge improvement. I mean the team still sucks but when they replaced TJones with him they did a lot better.

Some guy posts +/- by 5 man lineups on Twitter and JB seems to follow that (I'm sure the Rockets have their own internal numbers). The top lineup is Harden plus 4 defenders (Dwight, Capela, Ariza, Bev) which incidentally is our current starting lineup.

One thing is Thornton was on some of the good lineups by +/-. I think something went on behind the scenes with him

100% agreed with OP, if he can make this team better, why the hell give him any minutes. Harrell might make few mistake here or there. But that guy hustles and brings tons of energy. Just don't want see him play period.

I think harrell is still learning stuff like defensive rotations and little things. His energy is great but needs more experience

If rather a guy like Thornton create a shot than watch bev try to run an offense

Also, remove him from the team.

A car accident before the trade deadline and he's healthy after it passes. Seriously dude!!
