Referees Bill Kennedy, Tony Brothers will Screw the Rockets

I just can't get over the referee assignments . . . I'm all like

 

Lmao Brothers and Foster...if we win this we sweep the Jazz.

 

as mentioned in the game thread, bennie adams is a problem for us as well. the league office must have their reasons for sending this crew.

also brothers loves calling offensive fouls, so look for harden to get clobbered and then called for charging

James is averaging 2 FTs less a game in the postseason already and he's still dominating. He won't let 'ol Tony Brothers affect him.

 

Hey guys, just took the Delorean out for a spin and came back from the future.

OP was right, Rockets do get screwed by Kennedy and Brothers. I took cell phone pics at the game and here they are taking turns on Harden.

 

not as concern about bad calls as how we react and recover from them. Harden often can’t let them go and allow it to affect his game

 

Tony Brothers sucks, that cannot be doubted. Just have to hope he sucks in our favor.

Convert defense into offense. This can mitigate the damage that the referees can cause us. Bottom line is play your natural game, and don't let the refs get into your head.

The league wants to extend the series, so they can make more money.

 

Harden has to get karate kicked across the face for Brothers to call a foul for him, so that's unlikely.

 

Thankfully we’re good enough to where we don’t always have to rely on the refs but they can easily sway a game

 

Wow, what a crew. Should be a tight game so just have to tough it out.

 

last nite they went out of their way to prevent the GS series from being extended though, so i'm not sure perhaps they just want to wear us down a bit before the showdown, not unlike commodus having maximus stabbed right before their matchup

but overall in the grand scheme of things you are right, it's always about making more money for them. always

I'm pretty sure both Scott Foster and Tony Brothers are universally hated by all fanbases. It just goes to show you how awful they really are at their job. Tony Brothers in particular is just terrible. He misses blatantly obvious calls, flubs up easy violations, and LOVES calling offensive fouls when the defender is clearly not set. It's especially annoying because he has no problems making those calls in key moments of the game. He's a complete turd of a ref.

 

Game 1 was the most watched semi final game in the last 2 years. They obviously want more of that.
