To say that it looks incredible is an understatement.

 

Oh boy......man. I am assuming this will be when Marston ran with his gang. John Marston is one of the greatest video game characters of all time. I cannot wait for this....

 

That indeed does look good. and James Marsden is the son.

 

Hope the map is humongous. I don't even care if it takes 30 minutes to horse ride from one town to the other. Just want incredible diversity in the landscape and a sense of massive scale.

 

The main characters in the GTA series have all been different. Red Dead Redemption wasn't connected to Red Dead Revolver. I wouldn't be surprised if it's all new characters and an all new plot.

 

Am only able to buy a PS4 in 2018. Is it worth it to get the console then? Or should I wait until the new generation comes out?

 

While playing again, I think it just dawned on me where the term riding shotgun came from. Never really though about it until now.

 

Haven't gone next gen yet, but i will just for this game.

 

The new PS4 (Pro) comes out this year, the more powerful Xbox Scorpio comes out next fall. I would either go for the Pro if that's your cup of tea, or wait for the new Xbox.

 

i'm a Sony man...there's no news of sony coming out with a new console w/n the next 2 years?

 

We probably won't hear anything until E3 next IF it's in Sony's plans to release one anytime soon.

 

PS4 Pro IS the new PlayStation. It will be out this year. The Xbox Scorpio is more powerful and will be out next year. These are the new consoles.

I thought he was referring to the next-gen PlayStation (PS5).

PS4 Pro is just a redesign, correct?

 

PS4 is supposed to have a deal with Rockstar like they did for GTAV so I would expect them to do a bundle for the game next year. Probably will be able to get a good price for Black Friday as well. If there s a can't miss PS4 Pro bundle I might upgrade

 

There is no PS5 right now. There's a PS4, PS4 Slim (the redesign you're thinking of), and the PS4 Pro which will be more powerful with more features. There won't be a PS5 any time soon. The PS4 Pro is the new PlayStation.

Clearly Sony screwed up with the names. This reminds me of the Wii to Wii U thing.

Xbox One S is a slightly more powerful, smaller, HDR, and 4k VIDEO enabled version of the Xbox One.

It is basically a redesigned Xbox One. Scorpio will be a generational leap in power and will be out late next year.

 

yes, but isn't there a clear trajectory of when new consoles are released? how many years after the ps3, was the ps4 released?

i'm wondering if i buy the ps4 pro in 2018, sony will announce the ps5 in the next year

PS4 - 2013

 

I wouldn't anticipate a new PlayStation for at least 2 years.
