RealGM's typo when copying and pasting from the Orlando Sentinel. It's "shouting match" but realgm's version is more interesting.

Geez...that's quite a typo. There's a significant difference in a shouting match and a shooting match. Just ask Gilbert Arenas.

Reddick is the better shooter. Doesn't it make sense to have him out there at the start of the game with DH?

Insult to who? Care to back up your opinion?

    The coaches disagree with you.

Apparently the GM disagrees with you too, and not just the Magic GM. The Bulls tendered the offer to JJ and Orlando matched, so the market dictated his salary.

He just inked a 3 yr 21 million dollar deal. Pietrus is making slightly less at 3 yr 16 mil. They are different players, no doubt; but Reddick is no slouch.

Players want to play, coaches want to win.

There is a fine line between wanting to be out there helping your team and getting minutes, and causing a problem. (See: Von Wafer) Pietrus crossed that line, and SVG dropped the hammer.

    Quite comical,

When I read the title of the thread I thought Pietrus had challenged Van Gundy to a game of horse, or something to that extent. The deal would be if Pietrus won, Van Gundy would be required to up his PT.

Funny because I honestly can't picture Van Gundy trying to shoot from behind the arc

Redick is a better player than Pietrus now. It's time to let JJ have more minutes.

Too bad these two couldn't participate in the shooting match.
