Outside of Oakland, many people have stated that the Warriors had a major string of luck come their way this season. If they do win the title this year, do you think they deserve all the praise they have been getting or do you put a "but..." at the end of their title run?

No, they had the best record by far in the NBA. Healthy or not, they would win in all. Cleveland in particular had no chance against Golden State or even Houston, LAC, San Antonio or Memphis

Why don't we put an asterisk on you instead? Luck is a part of NBA.

The Warriors seemed pre-ordained by God to win it all this year.

Not to discredit them, but pretty much everything went right for them.

With that said, do they deserve to have an asterisk next to their Championship title?

Hell no. It's not like they all took steroids illegally and broke a home-run record. The 2003-2004 Lakers still lost with a team of All-Stars.

This thread is not only in the wrong forum, the series isn't even over yet.

No asterisk, but it's going to be a very forgettable title.

That's what the media has been saying about the Rockets for 20 years, but they're going to fall over backwards defending the Warriors legitimacy.

    Bitter fans :grin::rolleyes:

Lucky! Asterisk! Not a great team!

    Hilarious.

Would you be saying this if the Rockets switched positions with them -- won 67 games, were in the NBA Finals, were up 1-0, were to win it say it was "lucky" or say "Man, our title ain't legit."

Do you like when everyone outside of Houston & non-Rockets fans call Houston's two titles fake or are asterisked because Jordan wasn't there? No, no you don't.

Stop this silly ass bull****. Warriors are a great team.

In the words of Phil Jackson, give them some ****ing credit.

There is NO doubt they have been very fortunate with injuries for themselves and opponents.

But they won 67 games for a reason. It's time to just accept it and hope they fall off next year.

There are injuries every season, but yes, this year does seem out of control. People will place an asterisk next to GSW if they want, and it's not wholly underserved. Funny thing is, I still think GSW would've won the championship with or without the injuries. They were the best team all year. For that reason, I won't place an asterisk on it. BUT, the list is crazy:

Paul George, Kyrie, Durant, Kobe, Melo, Bosh, Love, W Matthews, Jabari Parker...DMO/Bev [and Dwight and Jones], Westbrook, jrue, Conley, rose, etc....crazy long list, I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton too

Pretty much every title is forgettable to me, except when the Rockets win. Who won last year?

I do not hate theam and I do not care about them. Kerr has done great things.

Curry was great this year, Klay had a great season, Green yeah.....whole team

This year was a great opportunity for the Rockets, they were good but not ready.

Next year will be tougher for the Warriors

If they win they earned it, no asterisk. They came through Houston to get there.

Never said it wouldn't be legit, but there would be discussion about the "luck" they ran across this season. Also, if the Rockets were in the same position, I would be saying the same thing, it just can't be ignored.

The Warriors are a great team, taking no credit away from them.

And yes, the Rockets titles were legit, not just saying that because I am a Rockets fan.

If Cleveland wins due to mass Warriors food poisoning then we can give Cavs the asterisk.

But the Warriors won the West, why would there be an astisk????

Cavs would be lucky to make the 8 in the West. Just calm down. Their injuries are inconsequential as to whether or not they could have won.

There shouldn't be an asterix but I hope the media reminds the public about the obscene amounts of injuries in this year's playoffs. Rockets have to be reminded that Jordan wasn't in the league for two (it was one!) of the Rocket's championships
