I hope I'm not leaving too many out, but here's a quick list of eleven former Rocket power forwards, along with Jones and Motiejunas for a lucky thirteen in all. People might argue that some of them are not power forwards, but it seems like there was a time when each was considered a power forward when playing here (or, if not playing, at least on the roster.)

    Josh Smith
    *Luis Scola
    Patrick Patterson
    *Marcus Morris
    Tarik Black
    Jordan Hill
    Thomas Robinson
    *Robert Covington
    Jon Leuer
    Demarre Carroll
    *Omer Casspi
    *Terrence Jones
    Donatas Motiejunas

    * starting for somebody

Rank the top five or the top ten or whatever you'd like.

Covington isn't a PF, neither is Carroll or poopsi. Idrc what position their coaches have them playing, they're not SF's. And as of right now play here's the order:

    Scola
    DMo
    Carroll
    Smoove
    Morris
    Covington
    Patpat
    Hill
    Poopsi
    Jones
    TRob
    Leuer
    Black

Uh... I assume that you mean former Rocket PF's that haven't retired.

By the time all is said and done, barring injury/trade .....DMo will become the greatest PF in Rockets history.

    2 exceptions - Ralph and Big E

Elvin was here for such a short period and Ralph was a 5 playing 4..which contributed mightily to the injuries leading to a premature end of what would have been a great career.

Big Sexy was here for such a short stretch that I can't count him.

And, of course.. OT deserves mention here. He was an All Star when we dealt for him..who toned down his game so we could win.

    But, DMo has...

a dazzling array of post moves...which will be utilized more and more as his career goes on.
feel for the game/great passer ...really important to our flow.
    can bust it from downtown
at 7 feet, runs the court like a deer
    great position/team defense
a prime time player who thrives when it's on the line

He will be a regular in the All Star game eventually.

I agree with Plowman in that DMo will become the best 4 in Rox history. Simply because today's 4 is a stretch 4 & DMo's a good 3 baller. Right now I'd list him behind Samson, Kevin Willis & OT.

If I could add any two of those guys to this team, it would be Black and Scola. Both guys cared, and both know how to play the game.

Luis Scola is the clear number 1 right now.

Here we go - basing this on their careers both with Houston and elsewhere:

    Smith
    Scola
    Motiejunas
    Jones
    Hill
    Patterson
    Morris
    Casspi
    Leuer
    Robinson
    Black

Carroll and Covington have been most significant at positions other than PF

I agree with this list, but I would add one caveat to this list because I'm duplicating it basically. My caveat: Thomas Robinson belongs near the bottom, but he will climb that list. Morris will too.

Five to ten years in the future, I think my list will look like this:

    Smith
    Scola
    Motiejunas
    Morris
    Robinson
    Jones
    Hill
    Patterson
    Casspi
    Leuer
    Black

I would imagine Smith and Scola will be inactive in 5 years time and hence off the list!!!

It's best he just says that and goes away

Dude has no clue about basketball. If you want him to talk hoops, be prepared for wishy washy statements like trade Brewer one day and then calling him a valuable player the next or that Harden was a gym rat all summer and had no distractions.
